Philosophy

I offer a range of services in gynaecology, and I am committed to providing you with a high standard of professional gynaecological care. My services include laparoscopic (keyhole) and abdominal and vaginal surgeries, colposcopies for the treatment of abnormal pap smears, abnormal periods and period pain, fibroids, investigations for gynaecological tumours, contraception including insertion and removal of contraceptive devices such as IUCD and Implanon, menopausal symptoms, uterovaginal prolapse and urinary incontinence, investigations for infertility and recurrent miscarriages.

For patients with Medicare, I will BULK BILL gynaecological and surgical procedures performed in my office eg. Colposcopies, insertion of a Mirena IUCD, biopsies. For patients who are covered by their private health fund, I offer a NO GAP scheme for all surgical treatments in hospital. The consult fee for all aged and disability pensioners is bulk billed while all other pension card holders are charged a reduced fee. A consult fee for private patients is discussed at the time of booking with our receptionist.

I now only provide antenatal care and no longer deliver your baby. I provide the necessary personalised care you receive while you are pregnant to make sure you and your baby are as well as possible before you deliver in a public hospital. A midwife’s appointment is arranged usually at 28-weeks gestation to discuss your delivery. My shared antenatal care includes:

• Providing services such as checking the health of you and your baby
• Giving useful information to help you have a healthy pregnancy and can advise you on exercise, healthy eating and answer any questions you may have.
• I can refer you for all necessary tests including antenatal bloods, NIPT and Morphology scans and discuss all results with you.

Dr Chan is supported by an experienced and friendly administration team, Tracey who is our Practice Manager, and Natalie our receptionist.

We have new appointments available each week and we try to see urgent referrals on the same day.
